The FDA has recalled certain lots of an oral rotavirus vaccine, Rotarix, which we have never used in our practice. We give Rotateq, a different oral rotavirus vaccine produced by a different manufacturer, at the 2-, 4-, and 6-month well baby check-ups. Rotateq has not been recalled and has not been affected with the issue pertaining to Rotarix. So patients who received their rotavirus vaccine through our practice are not affected by the recent recall.
